time for an update

a friend of mine, the only friend who knows this blog exists asked that i update my blog.

so here it goes.

life is good.  i start my first full time nursing position in two weeks, my house is 85% decorated and the hubby and i are happy and healthy.  not much more i could ask for.

since my one and only reader lives so far away, i figured i'd include some new house pictures for her :)

new guest room:
i found the comforter for $25 at the pottery and painted the headboard on the wall with left over paint from the hallway

updated guest bath:
target shower curtain from the kids section, art work was a graduation gift from shana

updated dining room old guest room:
you may remember the old mirror, it's followed me around from place to place.  the frames are old ones i found at the good will and spray painted.  my mom and i refinished the chairs.

finished-ish formal living room:
you can't really tell from this picture but roxy ate the corners off the rug and killed my plants, so they've all gone away.  i'd love to have a coffee table book, but i'm scared she'd destroy it!

living room we actually use: favorite room in the house besides our bedroom.  love everything about it :)

i hope you enjoyed the post my one and only blog reader :)

thirty two

it's really hard to believe that in thirty two days i will be graduating,

in thirty two days i will be finished with nursing school.

in thirty two days i get my life back.

in thirty two days i am going to jump, dance, sing, twirl, cry and smile,

in thirty two days my hard work is finally going to pay off  :)

Life lately...

Initially I'd decided to start a blog and document my life on a day to day basis.  The reality of the situation is that not only have I not blogged everyday, I haven't blogged the first thing in over a month!  I also haven't told anyone I've started blogging, so that may help explain the rationale behind my lack of motivation.  If no one knows that I blog, then no one will notice the lack of posts.  If no one notices the lack of posts, then I don't have to blog.  It's a slippery slipper slope.

I am a full time nursing student in my very last semester of school.  Needless to say the past month has been crazy  insane.  In the near future I plan on turning this into a real blog.  One with pictures of food, Peter and I and our crazy puppy, Roxy.

Keep on keeping on internet, I'll be back soon.

New

Hello internet.  My name is Whitney.  I am a full time nursing student, full time wife, full time dog mom, part time health care worker, part time maid, part time chef, part time half-marathon trainer.  Some days it feels like I'm running on empty and all I have to keep me going is love and laundry.
